At a special ceremony to be held at the Commando Training Centre Royal Marines in Lympstone, Mr Swire will hand out badges to veterans to honour their contributions to conflicts past, present and future.
Nationally 700,000 HM Armed Forces Veterans Badges have been issued to date and Mr Swire felt it important to recognise our own local heroes.
