Event will also feature games, stalls, a raffle, food and drink, and other attractions
A football tournament raising money for Hospiscare takes place on the afternoon of Sunday, September 9, in memory of a woman who was cared for by the charity in her final days.
Kick-Off For Kim will honour 48-year-old Kim Baker from Tiverton, who died from stage four ovarian cancer in 2015, leaving behind her husband Adrian and son Finley, now aged eight. It is being organised by her cousin Kate Collett-Hughes who lives in Exmouth.
Twenty-four teams will compete for the trophy play at Exmouth Town Football Club, in an event which has attracted massive support from local businesses. They have donated prizes for the winning team and for a raffle, and many will have stalls or other attractions there on the day, including children’s entertainment.
Kate said: “Myself and Kim’s family have been deeply moved by the support of the local community, and we’re looking forward to what promises to be a great day.”
