Home calls on the light guns for fair

Stallcombe House is promising another packed day of entertainment at its summer fair.

The annual event is taking place on Saturday at the residential home in Sanctuary Lane, Woodbury, between 11am and 4.30pm.

It will by opened by charity joint patron Toby Young, and among the entertainment on offer will be a 105mm light gun demonstration by 29 Commando Royal Artillery, and music from the Devon and Cornwall Police Pipes and Drums.

There will also be donkey rides, morris dancing, air rifle shooting and archery, clay pigeon shooting, a mini assault course and target golf.

There will be lots of stalls, with prizes to be won, organic plants, handmade craft items, cakes, cream teas, and a barbecue and hog roast.

There will also be a family dog show, for which entry costs £1, and entry to the event will cost £1 per vehicle.

Funds raised from the event will go towards Stallcombe House’s work with adults with learning disabilities.
