Michael Greenland was inducted at the club’s weekly luncheon, becoming the 11th new member in the last three years. At the same event, Linda Wilson, owner of Wilsons Paints, was appointed as vice-president – the first female vice-president in the club’s history.

Club president John Thorogood said: “As a thriving Rotary club, we are fortunate to have a good number of younger and energetic members joining us and engaging in the voluntary work that we do, both locally and wider afield, and I’m very pleased to welcome Michael to our club.

“It was also a very great privilege for me to welcome Linda as our new, and first female vice-president. Linda is a very popular member of our Rotary club and I congratulate her and wish her well in her new role.”
