Volunteers are being sought to help with this year’s Poppy Appeal.

Jean Gregory, who has taken over as the appeal organiser for the Exmouth area, says a number of volunteers are needed to help distribute collecting tins and poppy boxes to shops.

Volunteers are also needed to help run sale tables at the Lidl and Tesco stores in Salterton Road.

The Poppy Appeal is the Royal British Legion’s major event in the area.

Anyone who would be interested in volunteering to help the appeal is asked to contact Jean by calling 07454 543078, or emailing
