The name of new play equipment at World of Country Life has had staff wondering whether it has a royal seal of approval.
A competition was held to decide the name of a new harvester – built by park owner Nigel Lee – and the winner was ‘Harry’.
This has left staff wondering whether the next piece of play equipment might be called ‘Meghan’.
The new play equipment, which has flashing lights, buttons and sound effects, was installed to mark the 40th birthday of World of Country Life, based in the Littleham area of the town.
Harry the Harvester, standing four metres tall, was unveiled by former Exmouth mayor Councillor Brian Cole.
Park manager James Turner said: “It has taken lots of skill and hard work during some really tough weather to construct such a large and complex piece of equipment, but seeing the kids clambering around enjoying themselves makes it all worthwhile.”
