Harmony needed

PUBLISHED: 07:00 30 March 2013

Yet again the glorious debate about dogs and cylcles.

Glad that someone quoted the Highway Code last week but how many cyclists know that each time they mount the pavement they commit an offence?

How often do we see pedestrians walking down the middle of the road?

Police need to get involved, I am afraid, and enforce the law.

As regards dogs, the 1871 Dog Act has not been repealed in England so, as I see the law, any dog off the lead in a public place is deemed ‘out of control’.

While our leaders grapple with the state of our economy, maybe we need to focus on creating a more harmonious society in Exmouth.
