LITTLEHAM'S Brownies, Guide and Rainbows are celebrating after the groups have all successfully found new venues to hold their weekly meetings.

The clubs all faced the axe when it was rumoured Glenorchy Church, where the groups meet, planned to sell off its Salterton Road building.

Last week it was announced Littleham Guides were to meet at Exmouth Community College, thanks to principal Tony Alexander stepping in to save the day.

This week Jacky Wilton, District Commissioner for Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton, revealed the Brownies and Rainbow groups would now hold meetings at Littleham Leisure Centre.

She said the groups would meet at the new venues after Easter.

Mrs Wilton said: "The girls are just so happy they have got somewhere to go.

"I would like to thank Mr Alexander for his kind offer of the hall.

"People have been lovely, helping, and I would just like to thank all of them.

"I would also like to thank the Journal for its help. Thanks to the paper we had a good response.
