I think this idea for a griddled fish stall would be an interesting addition to the seafront and applaud the initiative of Keith Beaney.

At present, come 5pm, it is often difficult to get a drink or snack on the seafront, even during good weather when there are lots of visitors strolling along.

Today, at 4.35pm, the cafe nearest Lime Kiln Car park was closing and, although all the outside seating was occupied, the Longboat Cafe appeared to be closing with inside chairs up on tables. Not very welcoming.

Perhaps the Longboat Cafe should trial some evening meals or extend their hours to cater for all the people enjoying a late afternoon, early evening stroll, prior to committing themselves to a full-time restaurant?

Or perhaps Keith should be allowed to set up his stall, as late afternoon, he has no competition on that popular walk and would be an interesting addition. Surely we could depend on common sense and good practice to deal with issues of health and safety.
