MANOR Gardens, the floral park linking seafront and town centre, and home to a performance stage buzzing annually at the Exmouth Festival, has earned a Green Flag award. The recognition places the space among the South West's 52 best parks, according to last week's awards. The Government-backed honour reflects high standards of management and maintenance at public spaces across the country.Communities and local government under-secretary Baroness Andrews, who will present awards at a Liverpool ceremony today, said: "In our busy modern lives, parks and green spaces are invaluable as areas where young and old can come together to relax, exercise and play. "The South West's parks provide great examples of this and show just how important green spaces can be for everyone as centre points of the community.
