TODDLERS at All Saints Pre-school got to learn about the outdoors and growing vegetables this week.

TODDLERS at All Saints Pre-school got to learn about the outdoors and growing vegetables this week.

The children, aged from two to five, have been putting the finishing touches to their own vegetable plot based on the children's picture book The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Allie Edmonds and Adrian Fowle from Grounds to Growth have helped the kids turn a space previously used to store toys into a 'secret garden'.

By using a tyres and grow bags they were able to plant broccoli, cabbage and lettuce.

A spokesman for the pre-school said: "The children absolutely loved it.

"They visit every week and teach children about the outdoors and wildlife."

She also thanked the adjacent church for allowing the preschool to display a series of ceramic pieces painted by the children on the nearby fence.
