How typically arrogant that we are told the council said because they were in charge, they can do what they like. They are public servants and should remember that. In a time of growing concern about obesity and lack of exercise, every inch of green area should be cherished. We do not need another elderly looking bed. If we did, there are many other areas which are not flat which could be used - so, council spokesman - look after the people of Budleigh and not your ego.Mrs M I ClarkePooh Cottage Bear LaneBudleigh SaltertonTHANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORTI thank the committee, volunteers and all who have supported our fund raising for the local Force Cancer Charity over recent weeks. Despite rain at the Budleigh Salterton coffee morning last month, we raised £92.60. The following week we saw the sun shining and raised £188.90 at an Exmouth coffee morning. Our latest venture was a concert held last Saturday, at Exmouth Community College. So far over £900 has been raised from that and further monies are still being received.Thank you everyone.
