SOUTH Pacific - Exmouth Musical Theatre Company. A new name, new leads and a humdinger of a show! Welcome back to Mark Smith who gave a superb and sensitive performance as Emile de Becque - what a great voice he has. Equally great performance came from Annabel Sayers (Nellie Forbush), Dave Killoran (Luther Billis) - always professional, and Lance Vernon (Lt Joseph Cable) - is it true he is going to College soon? He will be missed! A special mention must be made of newcomer Dierdre Mackness (Bloody Mary) who almost stole the show. The children were enchanting, as was Kirsty Sydenham (Liat). The new idea of rear-projection scenery was great, not only pleasing to the eye, but saved a lot of stage-crew work and enabled the action to keep moving and gave the feeling of "being there"Well done EMTC - keep up the good work! Jean Carpenter (Mrs),vice-president,(via email).
