Woodbury residents have got together to enjoy a hearty breakfast and raise funds for FORCE Cancer Charity.

A FORCE Great Devon Breakfast was held at the village hall last Saturday, and villagers packed in to enjoy the usual bacon and eggs, along with cereal, fruit salad, tea and coffee.

Around 275 breakfasts were served, and around £1,600 was raised.

Naomi Cole, of FORCE’s fundraising team, said: “We’re really pleased – it’s another massive success. All of our money comes from voluntary donations so we couldn’t carry on without people like [organiser] Chris Lear and her team. We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved, and to all the sponsors.”

The event was sponsored by Woodbury Village Store, Darts Farm, LIDL, Gerald David’s, Gibbins of Exeter and Greendale Farm Shop.
