Grateful thanks

PUBLISHED: 07:00 14 February 2014

Whilst at Tesco in Exmouth, a young man found a wallet on the ground, which he immediately handed in to the customer service desk.

The staff knew the customer and the wallet and cards were returned. The much relieved man insisted on giving £100 from the wallet to the man who found it.

He didn’t want to accept the kind gesture but eventually agreed, saying he was a patient with Exmouth & Lympstone Hospiscare and would donate all the money to the local charity who have helped him.

I have just collected the £100 and would like to pass on our very grateful thanks to both men: 95 pence in every £1 we are given is spent helping local patients and their families in Exmouth and Lympstone.
