Good rating for Old Vicarage

A care home in Otterton was given a positive report by government inspectors after a recent visit.

Assessors from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) awarded The Old Vicarage, in Ropers Lane, with a ‘good’ rating.

The inspection of the care home, which provides care for a maximum of 26 people, took place last month.

In the report, the inspector said there was ‘sufficient and suitable’ staff numbers to keep people safe and meet their needs.

People told inspectors that staff treated them with dignity and respect at all times in a caring and compassionate way.

According to the report everyone said registered manager Rebecca Parkin was ‘caring and approachable’.
