I have followed, with interest, the various opinions of Christine Lee's vision for the proposed Budleigh Salterton seafront sculpture. As a member of the Chartered Society of Designers, I know that design is often a lonely and insular activity and not always appreciated. This is true, and the initial gut reaction of many Budleigh citizens seems to endorse this.My advice to any concerned individuals would be to view the artist's impressions - in the museum next month - with an open mind before dismissing this project.Christine Lee has received a significant amount of kudos from past creations and should be given the chance to exhibit this proposition to the people of Budleigh.Michael Ahearne MCSD,Shortwood Close,Budleigh Salterton.
