GARDENERS in Colaton Raleigh are urged to ensure property is secure and stored away.
Police have received a high number of reports of rural crime, with offenders targeting garden equipment, power tools, trailers and items stored in outbuildings.
Sarah Trayhurn, police community support officer, said: "I would once again ask all residents to ensure property is securely stored and details of belongings and serial numbers are noted down.
"If any resident sees any person or vehicle acting suspiciously, please contact the police."
PCSO Trayhurn added: "If possible, please try and make a note of the vehicle registration and a description of the person if it is safe to do so.
