Exmouth police are appealing for help tracing the culprit, who committed the burglary between 7pm on July 30 and 9am on July 31, and are urging anyone who has been offered a hedge trimmer for sale to get in touch.
Littleham police community support officer Nicola Payne said: "If you are offered such an item for sale or have any information please contact us.
"Once again we urge you to check your security to any outbuildings and contact us of you require further advice."
