THE family of Gunner Kinikki “Griff” Griffiths who was killed in Afghanistan in July is urging Exmouth residents to buy a raffle ticket in his name.

THE family of Gunner Kinikki “Griff” Griffiths who was killed in Afghanistan in July is urging Exmouth residents to buy a raffle ticket in his name.

His cousin Louise Barnes of Brxington said that Exmouth businesses have generously donated hundreds of pounds of prizes for the raffle in aid of forces charity Help for Heroes.

Gunner Griffiths from the Royal Air Force Regiment was killed in a vehicle accident in Afghanistan on Friday, 16 July, 2010, shortly before his 21st birthday.

Gunner Griffiths was serving as part of the Camp Bastion Force Protection Wing, when he died in the accident which happened near Camp Bastion, Helmand Province.

A total of 35 prizes are on offer with top prizes being a sat-nav, a spa for two at Devon cliffs Holiday Park and a £25 voucher from flower shop Daffodils.

She said: “We wanted to do it in memory of Kinniki. Thank you to all the businesses that have given so generously.”
