A fundraising launch party will be taking place in Budleigh Salterton tonight (Thursday) from 6pm.

Daniel Neaves, of DKN Hair, in the High Street, has dedicated the re-launch of his salon to raising funds for Devon Freewheelers.

The ‘blood bikes’ charity has dedicated volunteers who use specially adapted motorbikes to transport urgent or emergency items such as blood or organs.

The hairdressing salon, which was opened 12 years ago, is currently undergoing a refurbishment and will have a grand re-opening.

On the night there will be champagne, canapés and a chance to see the newly decorated salon.

The event will also feature an appearance by the Devon Freewheelers’ blood bikes.
