Brixington residents have seen an improvement to the appearance of their local shopping area following the installation of new flagpoles.

The new poles, at Brixington Parade, replace previous ones which were vandalised.

Funding was provided by Devon county councillor John Hone from his locality budget.

The original poles had been provided by a project to spruce up the area, which began in 2009 - a collaboration between Brixington Improvement Group, Exmouth town management, shopkeepers, and Brixington Primary Academy.

Previous projects include providing the original flagpoles, new signage, road signs pointing to the shops, planting, and resurfacing of the car park.
