Do you recall seeing or taking part in Littleham Carnival? These pictures from 1995 show some colourful characters and fantastic costumes from the day.
It’s hard to think that it took place just 23 years ago – the photos look a lot older, which is largely due to the aging of the film negatives. But one thing you may notice missing, which is commonplace these days, is the absence of portable technology. Smart phones had yet to take off, the term ‘social media’ was unknown and Google was three years away from being launched. Technology may well have changed for everyone in a short period of time but the feeling of fun in these photos of Littleham Carnival is ageless.
