BUDLEIGH Salterton Football Club recently jetted over to Germany for a twinning visit to Betheln.Some 24 members and friends left Budleigh by coach for Stanstead and flew to Hanover where they were met by their hosts and taken to Bethlen.During their stay the group visited the Hanover Landestag - the building for the government of the region of Niedersachsen.The group also spent time in the local museum with their hosts.Twinning visit secretary Peter Curtis said: "We travelled to Hanover by train and walked to the Landestag where we were met by Herr Krumfuss, a member of parliament, who conducted our tour of the building."After the tour ended we had the chance to visit the Rathaus - the town hall."Returning to Betheln, we were invited by the mayor of Betheln Werner Achilles for a grill evening and wine tasting while watching a European Cup quarter final."The Bethelners have been invited by Budleigh Salterton Football Club to visit the town in 2009.
