Friday, August 29 - Exmouth firefighters aid injured pensioner after car collision

RESCUE equipment from Exmouth fire station was yesterday afternoon sent to Bampton after a pensioner' s car flipped onto its side.

RESCUE equipment from Exmouth fire station was yesterday afternoon sent to Bampton after a pensioner's car flipped onto its side.

Fire crews from Exmouth, Bampton and Dulverton arrived at Old Tiverton Road shortly after 1.12pm where they found an elderly woman still inside the car, but not trapped.

The firefighters helped the pensioner, who was slightly injured, from the vehicle.

She was checked at the scene by paramedics.

The incident was left in the hands of the police.
