Friday, August 22 - Exmouth firefighters free woman from car after head-on collision

RESCUE equipment from Exmouth fire station was this morning sent to Cadeleigh, near Tiverton, after a woman was reported to be suffering from chest pains following as head-on collision.

RESCUE equipment from Exmouth fire station was this morning sent to Cadeleigh, near Tiverton, after a woman was reported to be suffering from chest pains following as head-on collision.

Exmouth and Tiverton firefighters were called to Higher Pitt shortly after 7am where they used small tools to free a woman from a car before making the vehicle safe.

The casualty was taken to hospital by ambulance.

The firefighters helped police with traffic duties to aid road congestion in the narrow lanes.
