Staff at the Minor Injuries Unit at Exmouth Hospital have raised cash for a motorbike charity which saves lives.

A book sale outside MIU raised money for Devon Freewheelers - a charity delivering urgent medical samples, drugs, surgical equipment and donor organs across Devon for the NHS, at no charge.

Stephen Armitage of Devon Freewheelers told nurses: “Thank you for thinking of Devon Freewheelers when choosing a charity.

“We are very grateful of your donation of £80.

“Your donation will fuel one of our marked bikes for just over a week.”
