CHARITIES and community groups struggling to complete crucial projects can now benefit from a new free tool share scheme being launched in Exmouth.

The scheme is thanks to Brandon Hire, based in Pound Lane, who is planning to step in and give groups the chance to apply for free hire to help complete projects on time and within budget.

Branch Manager George Donkin said that in the current economic climate, when money is tight, tool costs can make or break a local initiative, which can be anything from r-building a church hall that’s been damaged to transforming waste ground into allotments.

Mr Donkin said: “Having the right tools is often the key to a successful job, but we know that many local projects get abandoned because there are simply not enough funds to buy or hire equipment. And that’s where we come in.

“It doesn’t matter whether you need a 20-foot ladder, a concrete mixer, or a drill where possible we will try to help.”

The scheme is being launched as part of the company’s 40th birthday celebrations.

If you need Brandon Hire’s help, simply say what tools you need and why and send your details to Brandon Hire Tool Share, C/O Vital, 14a Clarendon Avenue, Leamington Spa, Cv32 5PZ, or email jaz@thevitalagency.co.uk.
