THE ESTUARY League of Friends, in partnership with Devon County Council and Devon Primary Care Trust, is providing free nail care for the elderly. The new services will be dotted around Topsham, specifically Chapel Platt doctor's surgery, Clyst St Mary and Clyst St George, and will also offer home visits.Rachel Gilpin, manager of the League, said: "Uncut nails affect people's mobility and can be painful, especially if hey have no one to help them. Nails can become deformed and the elderly then have a greater chance of falling so we have stepped in with this service."The services will be provided from mid-July and people can call (01392) 879009 for an appointment. The foot care service costs £5.50 and hand care costs £1.50
