FREE guided walks around Exmouth begin this May.

The walks start from the Pavilion at 10.30am every Tuesday and run from the May 10 until September 13.

Each walk lasts for about 90 minutes and includes part of the blue plaque Heritage Trail. There is no need to book, just turn up and join in.

Bob Lankester one of the guides said: “Join us for a guided walk and you will find out about the secrets which lie behind Exmouth’s past.

“You will find out about the Exmouth Fort, the Manchester Quay Boats, Powder Monkey Nancy Perriam and connections with the navy, the history of the Strand and much more.

“We are keen to share this knowledge of the town with residents and visitors alike so if you have never been on one of our guided walks before then now is the time to join us we would love to see you’.
