FOUR people received medical treatment following a blaze at a two storey terraced house in Woodbury Salterton.
Fire engines from Topsham, Exmouth and Middlemoor, were called to the property last Tuesday, June 15, at around 2.20am. Firefighters were tackling the blaze for more than three hours.
On arrival, the incident commander confirmed a terraced house was well alight. Paramedics were called as one male casualty was suffering from smoke inhalation.
A fire authority spokesperson said the ground floor of the house, at around 2.57am, was well alight. The adjacent property was searched and checked with all persons accounted for.
The incident was under control at 5.02am. One male was treated by paramedics and three further casualties were given first aid treatment.
Nobody was hurt as a result of the fire.

The ground and first floors were severely damaged. A fire investigation has been carried out.
