Former pupils of Exmouth Community College recently held reunited to raise money for Hospiscare in memory of two school friends who died.

More than 80 people turned out at the ‘Exmouth Comp Leavers of `84’ event, held at Exmouth RFC. The former pupils, now turning 50, came from far and near, to dance and reminisce together.

After recently losing two school friends, it was decided to run the event in aid of the local Hospiscare, in their memory. Good ticket sales and generous donations following a ‘whip-around’ resulted in £825 being raised.

Organiser, Ian Skinner, gave ‘massive thanks’ to those who came and said talks were underway for another reunion next year.

Lucy Hancock, of Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare, thanked Ian and the Leavers of `84, for choosing the charity as beneficiary. She said: “As always, we are extremely grateful to the supporters within our local community, who work so hard in arranging these events.”
