Exmouth Town Football Club is set to become a night landing site for Devon Air Ambulance.

The charity said earlier this year that it wanted a location in the town for floodlit landings, as it would be flying until midnight from October. The football ground at Southern Road was chosen as the best site, partly due to already having lights in place.

At its most recent meeting, Exmouth Town Council agreed to pay £832.37 for a remote control system, allowing the charity to turn the lights on before its helicopter arrives.
