Archant

Exmouth Rugby Club came out victorious against its town rivals in a man versus food eating challenge hosted by an award-winning bar.

Exmouth and Withycombe rugby clubs faced off against each other when they tackled Spoken’s challenge, which saw five members of each team take on a meal for two consisting of burgers, fries, onion rings, chicken wings and salad. Jack Fahy of Exmouth Rugby Club, was the overall winner, polishing off his meal in 21 minutes and 20 seconds, while the team effort ended in a draw as members from each side failed to finish the dish.

George Nightingale, owner of the bar, which won best spirits bar in the UK 2016, said: “Everyone enjoyed the evening and we will be hosting another eating challenge.”
