Flower show deadline coming up

PUBLISHED: 12:30 14 March 2016

Budding florists are being urged to return their flower and produce show entry forms by the deadline on Thursday, March 17.

The Budleigh Salterton Flower and Produce Show Society will be holding its annual show on Saturday, March 19, from noon to 4pm in the Public Hall, in Station Road.

Entry forms for the show, included floral, produce, bake-off and junior bake-off classes.

Forms are available from Forget me Not Florists in Station Road.

Entry to classes is free and open to all, as is admission on the day.

A spokesman for the society said: “We would like to encourage as many as possible to take part in producing what is always a wonderful display.

“There will be a very good choice of plants for sale together with gardening sundries and books, gardening advice and the usual large and generous raffle.

“Flower arrangers will again, we hope, be presenting a display for us.”

There will also be teas and cakes available throughout the show and prize-giving takes place at 3pm.
