Weekend visitors to All Saints Church were treated to a display of vintage bridal gowns and flowers when the church held its three-day flower festival over the bank holiday period.

The flower festival with a difference showed brides’ dresses from 1890-1970, courtesy of the Ex Collection, and also wedding photographs thanks to the members of the church congregation.

There were also several bridal groups displayed around the church, as well as church vestments loaned from Wipnell’s of Exeter.

Donations received from visitors will be used to help maintain the church building and also support the work of the Diocese.

Visitors were invited to take time to think about the marriage service when looking at the displays - which included dresses from Victorian times, a wartime bride and the Edwardian period.
