BUDLEIGH Salterton in Bloom committee now has a nail-biting five-week wait until it discovers how it fared in the 2008 South West in Bloom competition.The results of the competition are to be announced on September 18.The committee thanked everyone who rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in with the town's floral displays.Budleigh in Bloom member Dennis Law also received thanks for his hard work and dedication as the committee's press officer after he recently stepped down from the role.Budleigh in Bloom spokeswoman Pat Prew said: "In the peak of the season hardly ever a morning would go by without seeing him give his tender loving care to the plants, and then going home to spend his time producing the profile required to enter the South West in Bloom competition."Allotments Winners1st Plot No. 54B - Alan Weeks2nd Plot No. 52B - Bob Wiltshire3rd Plot No. 44B - Mrs S Wood and Ms B MaloneWinner of the Val Lavender Cup for Armytage Road - Mr Bridle.
