SOUTH Western Ambulance Service Trust has issued a safety warning to people using fireworks on bonfire night.

SOUTH Western Ambulance Service Trust has issued a safety warning to people using fireworks on bonfire night.

The Trust takes its highest number of calls on November 5 relating to burns through bonfires and handling of fireworks.

People are warned to keep children supervised at all times, always follow the fireworks instructions and ensure they are purchased from a licensed retailer.

People should also stand a safe distance from bonfires and make sure weather conditions are suitable.
