Firefighters rescue 'trapped' puppy at Lympstone

The fire service came to the rescue of a puppy in trouble near Exmouth today.

At around 1.30pm, on Thursday, March 22, Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to a property in Lympstone.

They were responding to a report that a puppy had become stuck under some garden decking.

On arrival they found the trapped puppy, which sounded ‘in distress’ and one fire engine was called to assist.

However, the officer in charge said no equipment was in fact necessary in the rescue, and the dog was released shortly after, unharmed.
