The fire service was called out to reports of a van on fire in Greendale Lane in Clyst St Mary today (Wednesday, January 27).
A fire appliance from Middlemoor from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service was mobilised to the scene at 1.39am.
On arrival the crew put on breathing apparatus and used a horse reel jet to extinguish the well alight van.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service believe that the fire was started accidentally.
The vehicle was left severely damaged.
