Saturday morning call out to sheltered accommodation after lift malfunction

An elderly woman trapped in a lift was rescued by fire fighters in Exmouth this morning (Saturday).

The Exmouth fire engine was called out to Admirals Court in Rolle Road just before 11am.

A care line monitoring the sheltered accommodation had been called by the lady stuck in the lift.

The fire crew were able to release her uninjured shortly after arriving and the lift was isolated and an engineer requested to attend.
