Fire crews called to caravan fire

A caravan has been left severely damaged after a blaze at Ladram Bay.

Fire crews from Exmouth and Sidmouth were called to the incident on Tuesday.

Multiple emergency calls also saw the Danes Castle water foam carrier attend the scene at around 5.30pm, where the mobile home was well alight.

Crews isolated the gas main and set to work using breathing apparatus, a hose real and a jet.

The fire was extinguished by 7.43pm. A man was treated by ambulance personnel.
