YOUNGSTERS at an Exmouth pre-school have been learning about protecting the environment through play.
The children attending All Saints Pre-School kick-started their new term using recyclable materials while learning and playing.
In a bid to raise awareness of the environment, the pre-school has also joined forces with Recycool - a school recycling and fundraising programme - and hopes parents and the community donate empty ink cartridges and old mobile phones to raise money for some much-needed new books and a book case.
A spokeswoman for All Saints Pre-School said the group recently underwent Devon's new early years quality assurance scheme audit.
She said: "Staff and management were happy to be told that not only did they excel in giving children educational, fun and child appropriate experiences to aid their development and love for learning, but that the level of care and attention given to every individual child was also extremely high.
