St Joseph’s Primary School pupils have celebrated completing a fitness course that they have been attending since January.

Children took part in an after-school sports club run by instructor Mark Smith, owner of Total Fitness and Health.

The course comes after the school invested in new equipment, which saw wall bars erected and after-school sports clubs established.

PE co-ordinator Emma Richardson said: “It has been rewarding to see the children taking on new challenges through Mark’s classes.

“Our new wall bars have been a hit with all the children and are extending the PE opportunities we can offer our children.”
