Exmouth’s unemployed are being offered free helping seeking jobs thanks to Glenorchy Church’s weekly Work Club
A backbone of support is on offer at Glenorchy Church’s Work Club if you are unemployed in Exmouth.
The weekly free service offers the use of computers, to help get CVs and applications into shape, and trained volunteers - many with years of experience helping others find jobs.
If you are looking for a job you are invited to pop into the club and see what it has to offer. It runs every Thursday, from 9.15am until 12.30pm, at Glenorchy Church hall, in Exeter Road.
The club said its ethos was to ‘raise morale’ among those demoralised by unemployment.
The club opened in June this year with the support of 20 volunteers, most from the Glenorchy Church congregation
Around 10 clients have found work since attending the Work Club – although the group refuses to take credit for the successes.
