A GRATEFUL Exmouth woman wants to find a good Samaritan who went to her aid after a fall which resulted in her knee breaking in six places.
Janine Collard, of Valley Way, slipped on ice on a path near Tesco Express in Brixington at around 10pm on January 30.
The 53-year-old had visited the Farmhouse Inn, in Brixington Parade, that evening for a meal and left the pub momentarily to go buy a newspaper from a shop.
She took a short cut down a path and slipped on ice.
"A lady came across to me and asked if I was ok. I told her that I could not get up."
She added: "I do not know how long I was laying there. It could have been for some time."

Speaking about her injuries, she said: "My knee had completely caved in."
Janine said she had only just recently returned to work - nearly six months after the incident.
"I would like to thank the lady who came to help me. After she found me, she went into the Farmhouse Inn asking if anyone knew 'Janine' and found my husband.
"She is my only witness to what happened."
