On this week in 1944, Exmouth learns of a new weapon having been launched against the country by Germany. Just as the Big Bertha gun of the Great War was introduced for ‘terrorist puposes’ so to has this weapon.

In other news: Bruce the dalmation raised £15 during the ‘Salute the Soldier’ week, which saw its £150,000 target ‘smashed’ in the last few hours resulting in a final count of £153,785.
