WALKERS from Exmouth joined a group of 22 people who took part in a two day trek to raise money for charity. The group started in the town and arrived in Seaton the following day in aid of Sense – a national charity for deaf and blind children and adults.
WALKERS from Exmouth joined a group of 22 people who took part in a two day trek to raise money for charity.
The group started in the town and arrived in Seaton the following day in aid of Sense - a national charity for deaf and blind children and adults.
Shad Everett, organiser and community fundraising manager for Sense, said they raised around �7,000.
He added: "The walk went really well. It is the second year we have done it and there were no major injuries, just a couple of blisters. But everybody enjoyed walking through that part of the world and we will be back next year.
"We are really happy that people supported us and used their weekend to raise funds for the charity.
"We found local people in the area were really generous and helped boost our target by donating to the money boxes along the way."
