Exmouth Town Council backs The Range garden centre bid

Plans for an ancillary garden centre next to the new Exmouth branch of The Range have been backed by town councillors.

The home, leisure and garden retail chain is preparing to move to the former B&Q site at Liverton Business Park. At its most recent meeting, Exmouth Town Council’s planning committee backed the company’s planning application, on condition that adequate parking spaces for the store were still provided.

Committee chairman Councillor Lynne Elson said: “It is where the garden centre was for B&Q, but slightly larger.”

East Devon District Council will decide on permission.
