THE Exmouth Tidy Group has been road testing new high visibility vests thanks to a grant from Exmouth Town Council.
The group's trial run of the new equipment was put to good use when they collected 10 bags of litter from around the Byron Way and Marley Road areas.
The group cleared the top end of Marley Road which is frequently used by dog walkers.
The members plan to continue lobbying for additional dog waste bins in the area.
Exmouth Tidy Group chairman Ian Kirvan said: "We continue to be disappointed by the large amount of dog mess people either leave on the side or tie up in bags and throw in to the hedge."
The group thanked the town council for funding the new equipment and Potty Potatoes, in Exeter Road, for printing and supplying the vests.
Anyone who is interested in joining the Exmouth Tidy Group is asked to contact the secretary on (01395) 274445.
